PERRINN Project 424 Chooses Bramble for Cutting Edge CFD

We are pleased to announce that the bramble platform has been chosen by the PERRINN Project 424 team. It will be used to develop the aerodynamics of their innovative car for an attempt at the Nürburgring lap record.

We are targeting to beat the electric record and possibly the all time record with the 424 at the Nürburgring. – Nicolas Perrin

The PERRINN team is a community of members, investors and contributors built on Open Source principles. All the data, code and designs are made freely available to those who contribute.

In preparation for the real thing, PERRINN’s developers have already created a virtual simulation. This simulation allows users to race the car around the Nürburgring Nordschleife.

bramble has many features that will enable detailed analysis of the Project 424 car including kinematics for automatic ride height adjustment, steady state or transient flow analysis and forces and flow visualisations delivered straight to the browser.
